I’m Niki. I’m not a health professional but I’m passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, eating nutritious food and exploring the world. I love to travel and take my footsteps to as many places as possible. Rock climbing, white water rafting and photography are major parts of my life. I love the outdoors and being surrounded by beautiful landscapes and amazing people. I’m very passionate about eating healthy. I’m a vegan leaning towards the raw lifestyle. Cooking and baking is in my blood, so finding/creating new vegan/raw recipes is something to look forward to. I’m using this blog to journal my thoughts, pictures, and travels of my day to day life.

So that leads to…why Muddy Footsteps?

Muddy Footsteps is something I put together for a couple reasons. This blog is somewhere where I post things about my daily life. I post about what I eat, the activities I do, the friends I hang out with, work and a bunch of other things. So I’m using this blog to display that to my friends and family. It’s showing MY footsteps in this world.

The muddy part comes because I’m an outdoors kind of girl. I love to rock climb, white water raft, camp, hike, bike and all of that jazz.  This adventure lifestyle is what I credit from my dad. He took my sister and I camping since we were tots. He is who inspired me to make this my lifestyle. I couldn’t imagine living any other way.

I hope you all enjoy this blog and follow along my footsteps in this crazy world.

    I was always wanted to do something like vegetarianism but i never thought i could, but i guess know someone who’s so into it, it kinda gives me motivation to do more and really be able to do something that can make a little more of a difference. I guess what I am trying to say is “thank you” for being the amazing person you are!

      Eloisa you are way too sweet. I’m glad that I was able to give you a little motivation to move towards a healthier being. It’s a tough transition and lifestyle to do veganism and even vegetarianism but in the end it’s totally worth it. I’m here for recipes, questions, or support if you ever need it.

    I think that this blog is such a great tool for people looking to better their relationship with food and the outdoors. I find you (Niki) to be insightful, knowledgeable, and very well rounded. You do not come off as “pushing” a lifestyle. However, you share YOUR lifestyle with all of us in a fun and enlightening way.
